Anti-Racism Multicultural Alliance
- To increase the readiness of the congregation to become more fully multicultural by encouraging learning, fellowship, and healing.
- To engage individually and as a congregation in creating a more just society by working to dismantle institutional racism and unconscious bias.
Membership and Meetings: Anyone is welcome to attend. Meets the SECOND WEDNESDAY of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the conference room. February, May, and November meets with Peace & Justice Action Team (2nd Sunday, noon)
Description: ARMCA sponsors programs, events, workshops, and classes to increase awareness of conscious and unconscious racism and unearned advantages that may get in the way of becoming a more fully multicultural congregation.

Recent workshop – “I didn’t mean to offend you – Unconscious bias and its impacts”
When: Sunday, May 3, 2015, immediately after worship
What: Led by Dr. Laurie Lippin, who has created innovative team-building and diversity trainings for over 30 years, the workshop will mix fun with ah-ha moments and practical insights into how all of us can increase inclusion at Starr King Church. Includes lunch.
