Adult Religious Exploration

Coming Soon in Adult Religious Education

This year in Adult RE we’ll be offering some great workshops and discussions. The Rev. Katie is planning more sessions of Parents as Resident Theologians. Dates and topics will be announced soon.

For our church common read, the Rev. Katie has chosen The Death of Josseline: Immigration Stories from the Arizona-Mexican Borderlands by Margaret Regan. We’ll be selling the book at church and organizing discussion groups. This is a great tie-in to the June 2012 General Assembly in Phoenix, Arizona, which will focus on immigration and border issues.

Also, please save the date: The Rev. Mark Morrison-Reed will be here on Saturday, December 3, 2011 to help us continue the work begun by our anti-racism groups. The Rev. Mark served as co-minister of Unitarian Universalist congregations in Rochester, New York and Toronto with his wife, the Rev. Donna Morrison-Reed. He is author or editor of several books, including Black Pioneers in a White Denomination and In Between: Memoir of an Integration Baby.
