Fellowship
There are many ways to enter and explore the fellowship of our church community. The following social groups meet monthly and welcome new and drop-in participants. Please check the calendar for specific dates and meeting times.
BOOK GROUP. Meets monthly on a rotating basis at congregants’ homes. Please see announcements for information about the next meeting.
CHOIR. The choir participates in Sunday worship approximately once a month.
CHURCH BOOKSTORE is open every 3rd. Sunday in the Fellowship Hall after the Sunday worship service.
DRUM CIRCLE. Meets on the first Friday of the month from 7:00-9:00pm in the Sanctuary. Learn more here.
FILM GROUP. Meets monthly on a rotating basis at congregants’ homes. Please see announcements for information about the next meeting.
SKIFFLE (Starr King Instrumentalist for Fun, Laughter, and Enjoyment). Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00pm. If you’re considering coming for the first time, please call Bob Meyerson at 510 581 2037.
SKIT (Starr King Improv Theatre). Meets in the Sanctuary on 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:30pm.

In addition, members of the Starr King community are encouraged to join the church Facebook site to socialize politely, exchange photos, and publicize events to the general public. The site will be monitored.
A closed Yahoo group has been created for intercommunication among members of the Starr King community. Members are encouraged to join StarrKingSPARK@yahoogroups.com to share information with one another. Communications will be monitored. Suitable communications include but are not limited to the following:
- Reminding each other about upcoming church activities
- Giveaways
- Requests to borrow items or receive items as gifts
- Requests for assistance
- Invitations
- Announcements of activities or events unrelated to the church
- Announcements of personal events of importance
- Offers of items or services for sale
Members of the Starr King community may use information from the church Directory to call, write, or send noncommercial email messages to other members. If unwanted messages are received, members should politely ask the individual who sent the message to refrain from sending similar messages in the future. Contact information from the Directory should not be given to third parties or used to create email groups for commercial purposes.
