Pure spiritual paths are not paved in gold. Many of us rely on this church to renew our spiritual lives. In turn, this church is dependent on the generosity of its members. There are many ways to be generous.
Volunteer
Whatever your talents or interests, Starr King has a lot of opportunities for you to give back. From gardening in our beautiful grounds to working toward social justice, or maybe a Greener congregation, there are many opportunities for you to become involved in your community. Pledging
A pledge is a covenant that members and friends make to support Starr King Church. Your pledge is a commitment to provide a specified amount of financial support for the church fiscal year. Pledging is purely voluntary and tax deducatable. Each March, Starr King holds a pledge drive called Canvas, but members can pledge any time of the year.
eScrip
Every time you make a purchase with a participating club card, Starr King can get the benefit with no extra cost to you. However, you must sign up each year to support the charity of your choice (even if you have signed up in a previous year).
- If you’ve signed up before, go to the eScrip Renewal page and enter of the following: your email address (the one you signed up for the program with), your phone number, or the Club Card type and number, and eScrips will renew your participation.
- If you’ve never signed up before, it’s easy. Go to the eScrip website and in 6 simple steps you can be contributing to Starr King every time you buy groceries. In the first step, enter either our member number (137107322) or just type Starr King Unitarian Church and eScrips will find us in the list. Then follow the steps to sign up.
- If you belong to Safeway’s club but don’t know your member number, Customer Service at 1-877-723-3929 can give it to you.
