“Hello!  My name is Hope Hilton, pronouns they/them.

I’m honored to be helping out now with Starr King Church’s administrative work.

I’m a life-long, unrepentant church nerd.  My first church as a kid was this little non-denominational place called Church of the Religious Science (not to be mistaken with any other similarly-named organizations).  I fondly remember singing hymns, running around the building, and on one occasion, trying on the Pastor’s high heels while she was getting ready for worship.

Nowadays, I also spend time with the administrative and music work at Buena Vista United Methodist Church, reminding folks to divest from fossil fuels, and I attend as a member at First Congregational Church of Berkeley while I discern a possibility of ordination in the United Church of Christ UCC (you know, the Unitarians Considering Christ ;-).

One of my favorite things is going to see a drive-in movie in the back of the pick-up truck with a pizza and my wonderful fiancé Sasha.”
