First UU Society of San Francisco
1187 Franklin Stl, San Francisco, CA, 95109

As part of their annual United Nations Sunday celebration, First UU Society of San Francisco has invited us to their Panel on Migrants and Refugees. Optionally, a lasagna lunch (either meat or vegetarian) will be available for $10.

Here’s the flyer

The flyer also mentions “Sanctuary City” forum at 9:30 am which I understand includes LGBTQ refugees from many parts of the world who have fled to San Francisco for their lives, and the people who work with them. This is a closed meeting, so we are not invited to attend it, but/and I believe we’ll have a chance to connect with some of the workers in the 12:30 to 2:30 Panel on Migrants and Refugees, a portion of which is “NGO Reports — Opportunities for Action.”
From time to time, some of you have expressed interest in working with refugee children from Central America who have fled to the S. in order to get away from lethal gangs and other life-threatening situations. Here’s your chance to connect with organizations which are walking that talk.
