Because of the important moral issues which are presented by the Election which will occur in a few short weeks, Social Justice Committee is offering services to help keep members informed. They will have articles at the Community Table in Fellowship Hall during coffee time–articles for people who want to take them home and read them at their leisure. They will also have information on ways to receive progressive news via email. Their intent is to: Help you be more informed about election issues, from a progressive point of view. Give you talking points for when you get involved in a discussion of the issues with friends, neighbors, and relatives.Mark your calendars for these programs by the Justice Alliance group: Today: panel on immigration, including exploring what we can do individually and collectively to assist people dealing with immigration issues. Sept 30: New documentary movie HEIST, which reveals shocking information about problems in our political system today, and discussion. Oct 28: Panel on ballot issues.
