Religious Exploration Blog – December 2014

On Sunday, Dec. 7th, our RE will be talking about Stewardship, we will have guest speakers to tell us about the Free Library project that our children will be making and caring for. For more information about the Free Library project please visit: littlefreelibrary.org.  More to come in the coming weeks on how our free library is being established.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, Winter Festival Service, our children and youth will be decorating special boxes to hold donations to go on our tree.  The boxes will be donated to FESCO.

FESCO is especially interested in receiving donations of gift cards and small infant/toddler toys.  Please bring your donations to the church  office by 12/14.

On Dec. 21st, our RE class will be talking about Signs of Welcome, we will design a welcoming  program for new visitors.  After our training, the children will sign up to be Religious Exploration Greeters, giving new visitor children a short tour of the RE program and inviting them to make special nametags.  We will also learn the song “Come, Come Whoever You Are”, that we will be singing in weeks to come, welcoming new visitors.

On Dec. 30th, our children will have a lesson on Reverance for Life, we will take a nature walk, talk about recycling, the UU tradition of welcoming new babies our Naming Ceremony.  The children will then make a plague with their name on it to take home.
