Transgender Day of Remembrance
The Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20 to memorialize transgender people who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.
Our community, Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church, is a Welcoming Congregation committed to ending transphobia everywhere. Join us in the sanctuary for a candlelight vigil to commemorate Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Let us gather as a community to create awareness. Let us recommit ourselves to end transphobia. Let us express our solidarity with the transgender communities grieving these losses.
