Covenants are promises that we make together to affirm to us and the world who we are and what we believe. Covenants, like creeds or mission statements will not eliminate conflicts. Deep societal issues including racism, economic inequality, and environmental injustice mar our current lives and threaten to harm the lives of future generations.
